Summer is far too short already here in northern Illinois. Which is why I was happy to be outdoors in the sunshine. I enjoyed this past warm but very fine weekend outside in a park by a lake. I was invited to participate in the Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts, sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Lions Club.
People watching, chatting with visitors, and making new artist friendships, all the good things that make up the worthwhile days spent with my display.
I plucked a few flowers from my own hibiscus plant to use as reference for a demonstration with some colored pencils and watercolor.
